The completely redesigned Redline 600 series subwoofers have many things that make them better than their predecessors. Redesigned chassis and suspension geometry allow for a lower Fs value and a larger travel. These two things give you MORE LOW BASS. The redesigned voice coils have greater thermal resistance, reduced inductance and better efficiency. Thanks to these things, you get a more balanced reproduction, more sound with the same amplifier and more power endurance. The red double stitching that was previously characteristic of the DD Redline is no longer there, in its place is a red stripe, or redline, at the junction of the cone and the thermoformed multilayer upper suspension. The dust cup logo is made of reflective metal foil. All cones and dust cups have a matte black finish. The chassis have DD logos either stamped or molded. The triple voice coil ventilation, braided wires in the triple lower suspension, laminated lower suspensions and extended pole pieces that have always made DD subwoofers such functional entities can still be found in the new models. The cone is a mixture of glass fiber and paper fiber and coated with a moisture-resistant coating. This has created a light and strong cone that withstands the conditions in a car very well.
