The Beast is back. And better than ever.
In the early 2000s, DD’s 9900 series was called The Beast. After a long hiatus, The Beast is back and better than ever. The latest version is designed to meet the demands of ultra-low frequencies in modern music. The drivers in this series can be driven for long periods of time at very high power and long travel distances. The driver is optimized for playing at 1500-2500 watts and can withstand short-term power of up to 10,000 watts.
Looking at the driver’s motor, you can see where the name The Beast comes from. The magnet is over three inches high and ten inches wide. The precisely machined magnet structure contains a 4″ voice coil. The mechanical travel distance is over three inches and even at its extremes, the voice coil is far enough inside the magnet to maintain control of the driver.
Note! This subwoofer is assembled to order.
The subwoofer is assembled by hand in Finland.
